Thanks to Mr Walter Mendez, the Creative Director of a reputed Ad agency in India. Upon the request of Kerala Tourism Department Mr. Walter came up with this most attractive caption which boomed Kerala tourism to a huge level.

Reports say that this caption created a magic touch in promoting our tourism programs where travellers rescheduled their itinerary to visit God’s Own country and feel it effect. And it was obvious that they were not disappointed ever.

We provided them the best ambience to relax, eat, drink and enjoy.

The creation took birth in the year 1989. Sadly, the man is no more now as he died some 10 years ago. Walter coined the tag on the request of Kerala Tourism Department when the Kerala government wished to market Kerala's high tourism potentialities before the travel world. The phrase "God's own country" did wonders. Also it had a magical impact. The tourists changed their travel plans and made Kerala their preferred destination when they noticed the ads in tourism magazines and other periodicals. They longed to experience and feel the luxury of "God's own country". As the tag was so catchy, the travel folks easily developed a love to see the land. And they were never disappointed while returning.

This blog will not give you the complete effect of this land as it says in the caption. For that you need to walk on our land bare foot, feel the wind on your body and face, taste the food we have, smell the freshness in our air, and view the site you can never completely capture even with your most expensive cameras.

It is truly a place similar to Heaven.

There some main spots as mentioned below you should truly experience in you visit that you will not forget. It is always a relaxing though we can have during our timeless steaming careers.

But there is always a question we forget to ask.

If this land provides you so much, why we go away from it?

Answer is: Even in the God’s own country it ruled by currency. That is why I said this is a place similar to Heaven but not completely heaven as it is.

Now a day’s spending money is more than easy to earn it.

An average person spend his 90% daily/ monthly earning for Food, current, water, fuel, education etc. if he lucky he will be forced to take loan if anyone in family feel sick and hospitalised.

Coming back to some of the most beautiful locations in Kerala. Number one is:

1. Athirapally Falls

This place is located approximately 60 km from Thrissur city.

It is a popular spot for picnic, scenery, feel of nature, water etc. To reach this place we need to walk 2kms in the forest after parking our cars on the entry gates. This place offers rich natural visual which is why photographers and film maker chose this place. There many big budget movies visualised in this location (Bahubhali, Ravan and many more). And it still remains one of their favourite spot.

The waterfall and its rushing sound along with the moist spray of water from the falls offers spectacular visuals and feel for visitors.

Not always we get to be near the water fall since there is great danger involved and there are many incidents of death and missing person who slipped in to the river. So the authorities have taken strict safety measures on the line of entry safeguarding the life of visitors.
